- Smart Fire and Neverdark fireplaces are made to order and manufactured to your specification. Under UK consumer law, bespoke goods made to order are exempt from the 14-day statutory right to cancel.
- Returns are accepted only if the product arrives faulty, damaged in transit, or is incorrect.
- All faulty or incorrect product returns are arranged directly with the supplier and handled by their logistics team.

SF Eco-Luxe — Automatic Bioethanol Vapour Linear Burner
The SF Eco-Luxe is Smart Fire's automatic linear burner platform, built to bring genuine five-star hospitality technology into the home. The same burner system sits behind the fireplaces at some of London's most recognised luxury hotels, and it is now available for residential installation at a price that makes that level of engineering realistic for a private home rather than only a commercial project.
Vapour technology — a cleaner, safer flame
The Eco-Luxe uses bioethanol vapour technology rather than burning liquid fuel directly. The fuel is heated to 70°C, releasing bioethanol vapour, which then ignites to produce the flame. The fuel itself never comes into direct contact with the flame, and the fireplace interior does not heat up during operation. The result is a cleaner, more controlled burn that is both safer in use and visually striking — a smooth, linear flame that holds its shape across the full length of the burner.
Fully automatic, properly considered
The Eco-Luxe fills, ignites, and adjusts itself. A built-in pump draws fuel from a sealed container and refills the tank automatically, stopping once the correct level is reached. Ignition is a simple two-press sequence on the burner or remote control, and flame intensity is adjustable across five settings. The burner shuts down remotely with any remaining vapour burning off cleanly within minutes.
Remote control, voice control, and smart home integration
Every Eco-Luxe burner ships with a remote control as standard. It is also compatible with Google Home and Amazon Alexa for voice control, and includes smart home integration as standard — the fireplace connects to a compatible smart home system alongside the standard mains connection. A child lock activates automatically whenever the burner is powered on.
Eight safety sensors
The Eco-Luxe incorporates eight safety sensors and features, including an overheating sensor that automatically shuts the burner down if temperatures exceed safe levels — preventing damage to the installation and eliminating the risk of fire from thermal runaway. The system will not operate if conditions fall outside normal parameters, and the burner is CE certified.
Seven sizes, one consistent system
The range spans seven sizes, from a compact 18" burner suited to smaller fireplace openings through to a 72" burner built for expansive media walls and architectural installations. Every size shares the same vapour technology, remote and voice control, smart home capability, and safety specification — the choice between sizes is purely about matching the flame length and heat output to the room.
Colour finishes
Five finishes are available as standard: matte black, gloss black, brushed stainless steel, brushed gold, and mirror stainless steel. A wider range of colours is also available — refer to the Colour Swatch Guide in the Downloads tab for the full selection.
Fuel
The Eco-Luxe requires bio-ethanol liquid fuel with a purity of between 95% and 97%. We recommend EkoFuel at 96.6% purity, which we can supply directly. Using the correct fuel is essential — fuel outside this purity range affects combustion quality, flame appearance, and long-term reliability of the burner.
No chimney, no flue, no gas connection
Bioethanol vapour combustion produces only water vapour and CO2 as byproducts — no smoke, no soot, and no requirement for a chimney, flue, or gas supply. A standard mains electrical connection is required. The room must be adequately ventilated during use.
