- Smart Fire and Neverdark fireplaces are made to order and delivered directly by the supplier's own logistics team from London, not by a courier or pallet network.
- Delivery is quoted individually based on your postcode and site access. Please contact us for a delivery quote before placing your order.
- Lead times are confirmed at the order stage.
- The £29 / free over £500 UK Mainland delivery offer does not apply to Smart Fire and Neverdark products.
Returns
- Smart Fire and Neverdark fireplaces are made to order and manufactured to your specification. Under UK consumer law, bespoke goods made to order are exempt from the 14-day statutory right to cancel.
- Returns are accepted only if the product arrives faulty, damaged in transit, or is incorrect.
- All faulty or incorrect product returns are arranged directly with the supplier and handled by their logistics team.
- Please inspect your product carefully at the time of delivery and report any visible damage before signing.

The Neverdark Automatic is a built-in bioethanol burner that delivers a long, clean line of real flame without any of the complexity of a gas or electric installation. There is no chimney, no flue, and no need for a mains gas connection — just bioethanol, an electrical supply, and a space designed to receive it. Available in five standard lengths from 700 mm to 2,000 mm, or made to a custom length on request.
The Automatic is the most straightforward model in the Neverdark range. Refuelling is done manually — pour bioethanol into the filling neck using the supplied funnel, and the burner handles the rest. A three-level flame is controlled via the included remote, and integrated push-to-open panels keep the face of the unit clean.
The matte black top panel suits almost any interior, and optional glass borders can be added to frame the flame opening. A considered choice for installations where the flame itself is the priority.
The Automatic is the most direct expression of what Neverdark does. A continuous line of real bioethanol flame, flush with the wall, with no chimney, no gas connection, and no unnecessary complexity. It is the right choice when the installation calls for a clean, well-made linear fire — and when the priority is the flame rather than the feature set.
A Clean, Linear Flame
The Automatic produces a long, uninterrupted line of flame that runs the full length of the burner. The flame is adjustable across three levels — controlled by the included remote — which means it can be set to suit the room and the occasion, whether that's a low, ambient burn or a fuller flame that makes more of an impression.
Burn times range from around 1.5 hours at the highest setting up to 5.6 hours depending on the size and level chosen. The matte black top panel sits neatly above the flame opening, with no reflective surface — giving the Automatic a quieter, more understated appearance than the Firetec.
Simple to Refuel, Simple to Operate
Refuelling is manual: pour bioethanol into the filling neck using the funnel provided, and the burner is ready. There is no automatic refuelling system on this model. The integrated push-to-open panels on the front of the unit give access to the controls and filling point without the need to reach inside the installation.
Ignition, flame level, and shutdown are all handled via the included remote control. There is no touchscreen, no mobile app, and no Smart Home connectivity — the Automatic is designed to do one thing well.
Finished in Matte Black
The top panel is finished in matte black as standard — a textured, low-sheen surface that reads cleanly against most wall finishes and architectural materials. Unlike the Firetec, the Automatic is not available with a custom RAL or metallic finish; the matte black is the finish.
Optional glass borders can be added to frame the flame opening, giving the unit a more defined edge and a slightly more enclosed appearance.

The Automatic is designed for recessed installation — built into a wall, media unit, or architectural feature. It requires no chimney or flue, but does need an electrical connection for ignition and control.
