Delivery
- Free UK Mainland delivery on all Smart Fire and Neverdark products.
- Smart Fire and Neverdark fireplaces are made to order and delivered directly by the supplier’s own logistics team from London, not by a courier or pallet network.
- Additional charges apply to Scottish Highlands and rural areas. Please contact us before ordering for a delivery quote.
- We do not currently deliver to Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, or the Scottish offshore islands (Orkney, Shetland and the Western Isles).
- Delivery date and time are agreed with our supplier’s logistics team in advance. If the delivery cannot be completed at the agreed time, re-delivery charges apply.
- Lead times are confirmed at the order stage.
Returns
- Smart Fire and Neverdark fireplaces are made to order and manufactured to your specification. Under UK consumer law, bespoke goods made to order are exempt from the 14-day statutory right to cancel.
- Returns are accepted only if the product arrives faulty, damaged in transit, or is incorrect.
- All faulty or incorrect product returns are arranged directly with the supplier and handled by their logistics team.
- Please inspect your product carefully at the time of delivery and report any visible damage before signing.

The TRD is the room divider Thermobox for the Firetec and Automatic burners. Designed for installation in a dividing wall or partition, the flame is visible from both sides simultaneously — making the fire a shared experience between two spaces rather than a feature of one room.
The Dividing Wall Configuration
The TRD is open on both the front and rear faces, positioned within a wall that separates two rooms or zones. Both sides of the wall see the same flame. The configuration suits open-plan spaces where a visual connection between areas is part of the design intent, or where a partition wall is the most logical structural position for a fireplace. Short glass borders are available on the TRD; a long glass border is not available on this configuration due to the two-sided opening.
Insulation — Why It Matters
What sets every Neverdark Thermobox apart from standard bioethanol housings is the quality of its insulation. The steel enclosure is insulated to a level that eliminates the heat clearance distances that standard uninsulated boxes require. A Thermobox can be built directly into a timber-framed wall, integrated into MDF cabinetry, or positioned immediately beneath a television — situations where an uninsulated housing simply cannot be used safely. That engineering is reflected in the price, and it is what makes these installations genuinely flexible rather than just architecturally attractive.
Standard and Hidden Installation
Standard installation includes a front frame that sits over the opening and covers the surrounding wall finish — the right choice where the surrounding material needs to be concealed or where a defined border suits the design. The hidden installation has no front frame: the Thermobox sits completely flush inside the opening, with only the flame visible and the wall plane unbroken around it. In both installation configurations, the control and refuelling panel opens from the top of the unit rather than the front face. This keeps the front of the installation clean regardless of which configuration is chosen. On Firetec-based installations, the motion sensor lid lifts at the wave of a hand — no contact required.

All Thermoboxes are made to order. Lead times are typically 6–8 weeks. Contact us before ordering to confirm the correct model, size, and configuration for your burner and installation. Custom widths are available on request.
