The Neverdark Log is a design-led freestanding bioethanol fireplace scaled to make an impression. At over a metre wide and nearly a metre tall, it commands a wall the way a work of art does — except the centrepiece is a real three-dimensional flame rising through ceramic logs and lava stones, and the whole thing requires no chimney, no gas connection, and no permanent installation.
The insulated body houses a volumetric burner with automatic refuelling, touchscreen and app control, and optional Smart Home integration. Available in brass as standard, with black gloss as an optional finish. Made to order.
The Log is a fireplace designed to be looked at as much as looked through. Its scale — over a metre wide, nearly a metre tall — puts it closer to a large canvas or a wall installation than a typical freestanding fire. The flame is real, three-dimensional, and burns through a bed of ceramic logs and lava stones. There is no chimney, no flue, and no need to fix it to the wall.
A Volumetric Flame at Scale
The Log uses Neverdark's patented volumetric burner — the same system as the Chalet range, with flames rising from multiple points through ceramic logs and lava stones. At this size, the effect has a presence that a smaller fire cannot match. The heat-insulated body means the outer casing remains cool during use, and the glowing fibre at the base of the flame bed adds depth to the scene even when the flame is low.
Finish Options
The Log is available in two finishes. Brass is the standard — a warm metallic surface that works with the fire in a way few other materials do, and the finish most associated with the Log’s distinctive look. Black gloss is available as an optional alternative for installations where a darker, more contemporary tone suits the room better.
Control
Refuelling is fully automatic — press the push-to-open panel to access the integrated controls, and the burner fills itself. The touchscreen panel handles ignition, flame level, and shutdown. The same controls are available through the Neverdark mobile app and the included remote.
Freestanding, No Installation Required
The Log stands independently — no wall fixing, no built-in installation, no structural work. It can be positioned against a wall, placed in an alcove, or moved freely within a room. It requires a power connection for the automatic refuelling and control systems, but beyond that there are no installation requirements.
