Foco Free 1200
The Foco Free 1200 is the widest model in the Free range — a 120 cm base plate with a 5-litre Superior manual burner, designed as the functional core of a large-scale custom bioethanol fireplace. It provides everything needed to produce a real, clean-burning flame; the surround, the structure, and the design language are yours to determine. At 120 cm wide, it suits the most ambitious bespoke installations — full-width media wall bases, architectural island features, and large hearth projects where no standard insert meets the brief. Optional automatic burner upgrades are available on request.
An 85 cm flame at the centre of the design
The 5-litre Superior burner delivers up to 6.2 kW of heat output with a flame length of 85 cm and a burn time of up to 6 hours per fill, suited to rooms up to 90 m³. The flame runs almost the full interior length of the base plate, giving large custom surrounds the presence they call for. Flame height is adjustable throughout, and no chimney, flue, or electrical connection is required for the standard configuration. Safety glass panels are included and can be arranged to suit the design.
A large-scale foundation for bespoke work
The 4-sided open base plate places no constraints on the surround design. Concrete, stone, steel, masonry, and fire-rated board are all appropriate surrounding materials — the Foco Free 1200 is built to sit within whatever structure is designed around it. The 40 cm depth gives the burner the interior volume it needs to operate safely and draw on room air effectively. The base plate is fabricated from 4 mm black powder-coated stainless steel, built to the same standard as the rest of the Foco range.
Installation guidance
No professional certification is required. The base plate is positioned within the custom-built structure, the burner is set into the cut-out, and the glass panels are arranged around the flame opening. All materials in direct contact with the base plate must be non-combustible. Combustible substrates must be lined with fire-rated insulation board before the base plate is installed. No electrical connection is needed for the standard manual configuration.
Clean-burning, no chimney required
Bioethanol burns without producing smoke, soot, or ash. The burner is lit with a long-reach lighter and extinguished by closing the cover plate. Fill only with the fuel you intend to use in a single session.
